The Blue Lagoon

This is where many tourists and Icelanders come to take the warm waters. You can drink beer here and splash white mud on your face to help you with your psoriasis.

Geysir, Iceland

This is the original Geysir, after whom all the other geysers in the world were named. It used to explode a giant plume of water and steam into the air but in 2011 it said feck it, I can't be arsed. It is part of a geothermal area with many other spouting geysers.

South Coast Waterfalls

Seljalandsfoss. This is a good waterfall because you can walk in behind it.It drops 60m over cliffs that were once the coastline.

A little further down the road is Skogafoss. The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 metres (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). It lies on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland at the cliffs of the former coastline. After the coastline had receded seaward (it is now at a distance of about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) from Skógar), the former sea cliffs remained, parallel to the coast over hundreds of kilometres, creating together with some mountains a clear border between the coastal lowlands and the Highlands of Iceland.

Gulfoss Waterfall, Iceland

Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The wide Hvítá rushes southward, and about a kilometre above the falls it turns sharply to the right and flows down into a wide curved three-step "staircase" and then abruptly plunges in two stages (11 m and 21 m) into a crevice 32 m (105 ft) deep. The crevice, about 20 m (66 ft) wide, and 2.5 km in length, extends perpendicular to the flow of the river.

It was also extremely windy when we visited!

Thingvellir, Iceland

Home of the longest running democratic parliament in history, people gathered at Thingvellir to discuss old laws and new and mete out summary justice. Some of The Game of Thrones is filmed just up the road.

Reykjavik

Three night trip to Iceland early April 2016. This was our hotel just outside the town centre.

Slea Head, co. Kerry

The Family Fox brought me down to Slea Head, the most westerly part of the Dingle peninsula. You can see the Blasket Islands in the background. God it's wild down here!

 Summer Fox and Spotted Dog

Dingle, co. Kerry

A little break down to the Dingle peninsula in March 2016 with the Family Fox. Had a great time with Fungi, a dolphin, who lives down here.
